Outright Purchase.

1.I will offer a fair cash sum for your toys. This offer will be based on your descriptions and is subject to confirmation upon receipt of the toys.

If the price you expect and the price I believe I could offer, is too far apart - I will refrain from possibly causing offence and merely thank you for your offer but decline on this occasion.

2. If we agree in principle to a deal, the next step is for you to parcel up the toy(s) securely and ship to me by recorded or registered mail.

3. Upon receipt, I will confirm by email my original offer and immediately send either cheque/cash/credit card payment/Paypal payment as you require OR
indicate that the toy(s) are not in my opinion up to the description supplied and explain why, make a revised offer, which if unacceptable to you, will result in my immediately returning the toy(s) by recorded or registered mail at my expense.

The advantage of an outright sale is immediate cash and a completed transaction. The disadvantage is that as you are taking no risks - the cash sum will be lower than selling on consignment.

Consignment sale.

I will sell your toys for you at agreed prices.
Once again I will need to know as much as possible about the toy(s) -see above.
1. We agree in principle how much each toy, or the complete collection, will sell for . If I believe there is a possibility that I may be able to achieve this sum for you then we move to stage 2. We have to agree the price in advance as I have no wish to waste my time - or yours !

2. We agree a time scale for selling the toy(s)

3. You send the toy(s) by recorded or registered post to me in the UK

4. I will upon receipt email you to agree the consignment sale or will explain why the toy(s) will not sell for the agreed price, in which case I will return them by recorded or registered mail at my expense.

5. Payment for the toy(s) will be remitted to you as the items are sold.

The advantage of consignment selling is that you are likely to achieve a considerably higher price for your toys.

As a result of many years collecting, I have many contacts with collectors and traders worldwide. I can accept payment in many different ways including by cheque from abroad, and in a wide variety of currencies. I have many collectors who are waiting for me to find certain items for them.
The disadvantage is that it takes longer to complete the transaction and you will not necessarily achieve a sale at all ! You are taking risks for an expected higher return.
